Overview
This awareness course introduces Safety and Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) and the key requirements used to manage safety and environmental risks in applicable offshore operations. Learners will review governing bodies, general management program principles, safety and environmental information, hazard analysis, management of change, operating procedures, safe work practices, emergency response, incident investigation, audits, and recordkeeping.

This course is suitable for offshore personnel, supervisors, contractors, managers, and others who need an awareness of SEMS requirements and safety and environmental management responsibilities.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to:
- Explain the governing bodies behind Safety And Environmental Management Systems (SEMS) and which businesses need to have one
- Identify the General Management Program Principles
- Explain safety and environmental information
- Describe the purpose of hazards analysis
