Ahli Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja Kimia (Chemical Occupational Safety and Health Expert)

Ahli Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja Kimia (Chemical Occupational Safety and Health Expert) is an official certification programme delivered in accordance with the requirements of the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker RI). The programme prepares competent professionals to develop, implement and oversee occupational safety and health systems within workplaces that manufacture, store, use or handle hazardous chemicals.

The course develops knowledge of Indonesian occupational safety legislation, hazardous chemical management, industrial hygiene, toxicology, hazardous substances (B3), emergency preparedness, accident investigation and the implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems (SMK3).

Please note: This is an Indonesian government certification intended for Indonesian nationals and other personnel who meet the participant eligibility requirements established under Indonesian regulations.

This programme is intended for personnel responsible for managing chemical occupational safety and health within Indonesian workplaces, including:

• HSE Supervisors
• HSE Officers
• Process Engineers
• Production Supervisors
• Plant Engineers
• Personnel responsible for hazardous chemical (B3) management
• Prospective Chemical Occupational Safety and Health Experts (Ahli K3 Kimia)

Under Indonesian Ministry of Manpower Decree No. Kep.187/MEN/1999 concerning the Control of Hazardous Chemicals in the Workplace, organisations classified as having major chemical hazard potential are required to appoint at least one Chemical Occupational Safety and Health Expert (Ahli K3 Kimia) together with the required number of Chemical Safety Officers. Organisations within the medium hazard category are also required to appoint Chemical Safety Officers in accordance with the applicable regulations.

The programme follows the official Kemnaker RI curriculum and is delivered through classroom instruction, discussions, practical exercises, case studies and competency evaluation by qualified instructors.

Upon successful completion participants will be able to:

• Understand workers’ rights and responsibilities relating to occupational safety and health.
• Explain the organisational benefits of implementing effective occupational safety and health programmes.
• Understand Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems (SMK3).
• Identify hazardous chemicals and appropriate control measures.
• Conduct workplace exposure monitoring and evaluation.
• Investigate workplace accidents and prepare reports.
• Apply Indonesian legislation relating to hazardous chemical management.
• Develop emergency response plans for chemical incidents.

• Indonesian citizen.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of relevant work experience.
• Laptop with reliable internet connection.
• Passport photographs as required.
• Valid medical certificate.
• Employment verification letter.
• Copy of Indonesian Identity Card (KTP).
• Signed Integrity Pact.

Participants who successfully complete the programme and satisfy all competency requirements will receive:

• PT Samson Tiara Certificate of Completion.
• Official Kemnaker RI Certificate and Licence.
• Ahli K3 Kimia Qualification Card.
