Workplace Hazards and Personal Safety
Learn about common offshore workplace hazards and controls, including confined spaces, working at height, suspended loads, high-pressure systems, flammable atmospheres, moving equipment, COSHH, manual handling, vibration, dropped objects, and noise.
Overview
This course provides an overview of the general hazards found offshore and the personal safety controls used to reduce risk. Learners will review common hazards such as confined spaces, working at height, suspended loads, high-pressure systems, flammable and explosive atmospheres, moving and energised equipment, hazardous substances, manual handling, mechanical handling, vibration, dropped objects, safety critical equipment, and noise.
