Advanced Firefighting (TEEX)
TEEX-certified Advanced Firefighting training for onshore industrial fire team members, covering fire science, firefighting tactics, extinguishers, hose handling, foam systems, SCBA, casualty recovery, and live-fire exercises.
Overview
Advanced Firefighting is a Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) certified course designed for onshore industrial fire team members. The course provides delegates with the knowledge and practical skills required to respond safely and effectively to workplace fire emergencies as part of an organised fire team.
Training combines classroom sessions with practical firefighting exercises. Delegates will cover fire science, fire suppression equipment, personal protective equipment, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), extinguishing agents, foam application, hose handling, fire streams, firefighting tactics, casualty recovery, and live-fire response.
Practical exercises include team-based firefighting using hose lines, water, foam, and SCBA. Fire props may include Class A, B, and C fire scenarios, pans with and without obstacles, paint lockers, LPG impinging jets, XMAS tree fires, leaking flange fires, and large diameter hydrocarbon storage tank fires.
