Overview

This awareness course provides employees with an understanding of benzene, its hazards, and the precautions required to minimise exposure in the workplace. Participants will learn where benzene may be encountered, the potential short-term and long-term health effects of exposure, and the measures that can be taken to protect personnel working in environments where benzene may be present.

Benzene is widely encountered in the oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, chemical processing, and related industries. Understanding the hazards associated with benzene exposure is essential for maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

Throughout the course, learners will be assessed on their understanding of the material presented. A minimum score of 80% is required to successfully complete the course.
