Operator Gondola (Suspended Access Platform Operator)

Operator Gondola (Suspended Access Platform Operator) is an official certification programme delivered in accordance with the requirements of the Indonesian Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker RI). The programme prepares personnel to safely operate suspended access platforms (commonly referred to in Indonesia as gondolas or Building Maintenance Units (BMUs)) in accordance with Indonesian occupational safety legislation.

The course develops competence in pre-use inspections, safe operation, hazard recognition, daily maintenance, and the application of safe working practices when carrying out work at height using suspended access equipment.

Please note: This is an Indonesian government certification intended for Indonesian nationals and other personnel who meet the participant eligibility requirements established under Indonesian regulations.

This programme is intended for Indonesian personnel responsible for operating suspended access platforms, including:

• Suspended access platform (gondola) operators
• Building maintenance personnel
• Work at Height personnel
• Building maintenance contractors
• Facilities technicians
• Personnel requiring Kemnaker RI Gondola Operator certification.

This programme is delivered in accordance with Indonesian occupational safety legislation governing lifting equipment operators, including Occupational Safety Act No. 1 of 1970, Ministry of Manpower Regulation No. PER.05/MEN/1985, and Ministry of Manpower Regulation No. PER.01/MEN/1989 concerning operator qualifications.

The programme is delivered over three days and is available through either blended learning (two days online followed by one practical day) or full classroom delivery. Training is available as both public and in-house programmes.

Upon successful completion participants will be able to:

• Apply occupational safety and health requirements during suspended access operations.
• Carry out daily pre-use inspections.
• Operate suspended access platforms safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
• Identify workplace hazards and implement appropriate risk controls.
• Perform routine operator inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Prepare operational reports and documentation.

• Indonesian citizen.
• Minimum senior high school qualification (SLTA) or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of relevant industry experience.
• Laptop or Android device with a stable internet connection (blended learning only).
• Recent passport photographs as specified.
• Valid medical certificate.
• Employment verification letter.
• Copy of Indonesian Identity Card (KTP).
• Signed Integrity Pact.

Participants who successfully complete the programme and satisfy all competency requirements will receive:

• PT Samson Tiara Suspended Access Platform (Gondola) Operator Certificate.
• Official Kemnaker RI Certificate and Operator Licence (SIO).
• Operator Qualification Card.
