Overview

The aim of this course is to inform delegates about how to prepare for safe travel and travel safely both onshore and offshore and the steps to take in an emergency situation, including evacuation.

Who is it For

This course is suitable for personnel who may travel to or from work sites and require awareness of transfer and evacuation procedures.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of the course, learners will be able to:

  • Explain how to prepare for travel
  • Identify prohibited and restricted items
  • Describe procedures to follow after arrival at the shore base
  • Explain how to safely travel on a marine vessel
  • Describe the steps to follow in an emergency
  • Describe the two methods of transferring from a vessel
  • Explain the difference between collapsible and rigid baskets
  • Explain helicopter transfer procedures
  • Describe what to do in a helicopter emergency
  • Outline the steps to take in the event of an evacuation

  • Safe conduct during transfer activities
  • Emergency procedures and evacuation actions
  • Communication and responsibilities

Assessment

Learners are assessed through knowledge checks and assessment questions during the course. The course includes 10 questions.

Certificate

Successful completion of the course will result in a certificate of completion issued by RelyOn.
